First Holy Communion Mass

Posted: May 5, 2020

A message for our Year 4 pupils:

Dear First Communion Candidates 2020,

We know that you have been working hard preparing to celebrate your First Eucharist.

It is very disappointing for you, your families, and our entire parish community that we cannot come together to mark your special day this May.

We have to be patient and remember that when your First Holy Communion day does arrive, it will seem all the more precious because we’ve had to wait a little longer.

Although your school chaplain can’t visit you in your classrooms or pray with you in church at present, we haven’t forgotten about you!

This Sunday (10th May), we invite you and your families to join us for 12noon Mass streamed from The Sacred Heart Church. During this Mass, we will pray especially for you and some of your teachers/parents will read the bible stories and lead the prayers. The webcam link is

We also attach a colouring page. Please complete this at home over the next few days, write your name on it, get your parent/guardian to take a photograph of your work and send it to the Drumragh Parish Facebook page. Your work will be displayed in a special gallery to remind people to pray for you this weekend.

Stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you to online Mass on Sunday.

Fr Eugene, Fr Chris & Fr Ignacy.
