We hope you are all continuing to be safe and well at home. We have been asked to make you aware that the EA Literacy Service have launched a landing site for parents which allows you to access information and advice in the areas of Reading, Writing, Spelling and Assistive Technology (AT).
Here is the link:
EA Pupil Support Services
If you get a chance to look at it please don’t be overwhelmed as there is a lot of information and not all of it will be relevant to you and your child.
As you scroll down you will see the four sections:
We recommend looking at the Reading and Spelling first which are about 5/6 pages each. The Writing section deals mainly with handwriting.
In the Assistive Technology section there are two documents – the first of these relates to Using Assistive Technology to Support your child – we recommend that you have a look at pages 7-9 of this pdf, where you will find some links to websites for reading and spelling.
We hope you will find the information useful and helpful.
