Baking Banana Bread
The children in Reception have got very good at making banana bread! We have realised that the best bananas are the ones that are no longer yellow! The children have got very good at peeling the bananas and mashing them with their forks. The children can count out the cups of flour and sugar. The children beat the eggs with a fork before adding them to the dry ingredients. We melt the butter in the microwave. The children can count backwards from twenty as the butter melts. The children listen carefully to the instructions and follow them independently. The children wring out their cloths and clean up spills. The children love the days when we make banana bread for snack!
