The Year 4’s have been busy over the last few weeks creating their beautiful Easter pots.
The children had begun by making a base. They then had to manipulate the rest of the clay into coil or sausage like shapes. Following this, they then placed each coil on top of each other. The boys and girls then carefully smoothed the coils together. The year 4’s added a few scores, markings and patterns using a variety of tools.
To finish off the pots, the boys and girls mixed their own paints. They then carefully painted their own pot and then lightly glazed them.
Great manipulative skills, confidence, independence, concentration, imagination and creativity!
